The Pantograph Charging Down System enables quick and efficient charging of high passenger capacity electric buses. A pantograph lowers from the charging station, connects to the battery via rails on the roof of the bus, and charges with up to 600kW.

Developed for various overhead line systems and speeds, involving electric or pneumatic drives. The continuous contact force is maintained by mechanical deflectors or specifically developed electric-pneumatic control systems.

The main advantages are the charging time and maintenance-free operation. Charging requires no driver action beyond pressing a button, which automatically connects the pantograph to the station.
